Before We Start

Facebook can be a great advertising platform for the right purpose. It can also be a complete waste of money if used incorrectly. This is because Facebook is a very low intent platform - ie. people using Facebook are not actively trying to accomplish a goal, typically they are just passively browsing.

Simply put: Facebook leads are high quantity, low quality.

That being said, Facebook is not a hopeless, or a useless tool. This course is going to show you how to start generating leads through Facebook successfully. We’re not going to cover the “ins-and-outs” of the platform, we are simply going to show you what works, and give you the basic skills to start generating your own leads.

Set up a Facebook Page

If you don’t already have a Facebook page, you should set one up now. This is a free and fantastic way to interface with your potential clientele, and will be the identity that you launch your ads from.

To do this, go to https://www.facebook.com/pages/creation/ and select “Business or Brand”

Now follow through the steps, keeping in mind that you are setting up the foundation of your brand. When people click on your ads to see who posted them, they will be directed to this page.

Protip: To build your brand’s equity and reputation, try to post articles, as well as successes from your page consistently. This activity keeps you in peoples forethought.

Set up a Facebook Business Manager Account

This is a really important step. From here you will be able to view and manage multiple campaigns and ads.

To do this, go to https://business.facebook.com and select “Create Account”

This will also be where you set up the credit card information that Facebook will use to pay for your ads.
