Congrats! You’ve taken your first step towards implementing a lead generation system for yourself and are going to start scaling your business. Please follow the next steps below to kick off your campaign(s) and to get your advertising rolling.

1st – *Done during onboarding* Provide us with your Google Ads account ID

To be able to manage your account – you will need to grant our manager account access to your Google Ads account. If you have an existing Google Ads Account, please copy-paste the campaign ID found in the top right corner into our platform onboarding.

If you do not have an existing account, please watch this video on how to create one and where to find your account ID:

2nd - Switch your account to "Expert View Mode"

When you first create your Google Ads account, the platform will be set on “Smart Mode”. We believe this mode is kind of confusing and oversimplified. It does not give you full access to the platform and does not allow you to properly visualize your campaigns.

The first thing you should do once logged on is to switch your account to “Expert Mode”. To do this simply click on the Tools icon on the top right corner and then select Switch to Expert Mode.

Now if things still look the same - click on Switch View to switch to "Expert Mode".

Here is a complete video tutorial on how to do so:

*Please note that the rest of our how-to videos are all based on the expert mode view of the platform.

3rd - Review your targeted locations

We suggest you do a quick review of your campaign settings and that you continue reviewing and tweaking things on a weekly basis minimum. For now, you can start by reviewing your Location. Select your campaign, go to the Settings tab on the left-hand side and click on the Locations tab. Make sure that your targeted location is correct, you can always make your location wider. Make sure your Location options -> "Target" is set to our suggested “Presence: People in or regularly in your targeted locations”.

4th - Add a bid limit

Staying in your campaign’s settings section - click on the Bidding tab. We suggest you change your bidding to Maximize Clicks. A good limit to start at is around 3-4$ for residential campaigns. 4-5$ for mortgage. Another option that can work well depending on the region is Maximize Conversions.

You can find a more detailed how-to here.

5th - Enable your campaign(s)!

Your campaign(s) are finally ready to be launched! To do this simply click on the Campaign status tab if you’re in the Settings section and click “paused” to change the status to “enabled”. Alternatively, if you are looking at your list of campaigns, you can simply click on the little grey circle next to your campaign name to turn it green.

Your campaigns are now active and running. Again, we recommend you tweak, experiment, and add to your campaigns whenever you can. Monitoring them on a weekly basis at the minimum is also an important step towards making sure your campaigns are always running effectively.
